The Canadian served up 15 aces in the win, converting four of his six break points to progress.

00:25 CET - Frances Tiafoe needed another five-setter to adavnce at Roland Garros! The American outlasted Jaime Faria 4-6, 6-7 (2), 7-6 (4), 6-1, 6-2 in four hours and five minutes to make to the second week. The 19th seed won 79% of his first serves as he moves on to take on Matteo Arnaldi next.

22:00 CET - The 2026 French Open just keeps on giving! Maddison Keys has won yet another thriller on this Super Saturday after battling past talented Canadian Victoria Mboko in three sets.

20:35 CET - Moise Kouame's dream run at his maiden French Open has come to an end. The 17-year-old had already exceeded expectations when he roared into a first-set lead against Chile's Alejandro Tabilo. However, all good things have to come to an end and Kouame's level dropped from then on, and Tabilo's experience came to the fore.

20:30 CET - Coco Gauff is out of the French Open! The world number four and former Roland Garros champion won the first set after securing a break of serve, but her opponent, Anastasia Potapova, edged a second-set tiebreak before pulling away in the decider to cause one of the upsets of the tournament.

19:00 CET - Matteo Berrettini has won a five-set classic at Roland Garros! The Italian has had a lengthy time out of the top 10, but after edging past a tricky test in Francisco Comesana and with a wide-open draw all the way to the final, he has a chance to get back amongst the top players in the world on the big stage.

The Italian's game is best suited to a grass court, but when his serve is on point like it has been so far this week, he is a danger on any surface and it will be interesting to see how far he can go now.

17:05 CET - Amanda Anisimova is out of Roland Garros! The world number six responded well to going a set down and forced the match into a third-set decider, but when it came down to it, home favourite Diane Parry played to the home advantage in the tiebreak to get over the line and complete an unlikely upset.

Anisimova has been out injured since Miami in March, and that might well explain her sub-par performance today, not to mention she was up against a home player and an expectant crowd.

16:51 CET - Anna Kalinskaya responded excellently to a second set collapse, where she lost 6-0 and looked in danger of heading out to book her place in the fourth round.

The 22nd seed cruised into a one-set lead, but her opponent, Camila Osorio, made 14 winners and just two unforced errors in a dominant second set before Kalinskaya retook control of the match in style in the deciding set to avoid an upset.

15:51 CET - Aryna Sabalenka is through to the second week of yet another major after defeating Daria Kasatkina 6-0, 7-5.

Following a near faultless first set, Sabalenka was slightly more error-strewn in the second. But in truth, it never looked like the Belarusian was in trouble, booking her place in the last 16.

The world number one sets up a heavyweight clash with four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka next.

14:15 CET - Another men's seed has gone toppling out of this half of the draw, with Francisco Cerundolo losing 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 6-4 to Zachary Svajda in another huge shock.

Svajda's run has completely come out of nowhere. He had only been to the first round of a Grand Slam once before this tournament! Yet he is now into the second week of the French Open, and did superbly to fend off the comeback of a player who is really strong on clay.

He will now face Flavio Cobolli with the chance of reaching the quarter-finals.

14:10 CET - Naomi Osaka has come out on top in an absolute thriller against 18-year-old Iva Jovic, outlasting her American opponent 7-6(5), 6-7(3), 6-4 in three gruelling hours.

The match was on a total knife-edge throughout, but Osaka's power and experience eventually prevailed. The Japanese star hit 46 winners, and she also had a fantastic serving day, hitting 12 aces. She is playing as well as she ever has on clay.

She could face Aryna Sabalenka in what is her maiden last-16 appearance in Paris.

13:59 CET - Flavio Cobolli has a real shot of making the Roland Garros final, and after an impressive 6-2, 6-2, 6-3 victory over Learner Tien, he has booked his spot in the last 16.

Cobolli was far too strong for his American opponent, hitting seven aces and 28 winners. His half of the draw is wide open.

Meanwhile, Diana Shnaider has come out on top in a very tense contest with Oleksandra Oliynykova, winning 7-5, 6-1 in an hour and 45 minutes.

There was a lot of noise ahead of the match, but Shnaider ended up victorious, even battling from a double break down in the first set. She is into her first French Open fourth round.

13:19 CET - A tournament full of upsets keeps delivering, with world number 114 and qualifier Maja Chwalinska stunning former semi-finalist Maria Sakkari, 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Sakkari made 43 unforced errors to Chwalinska's 28, which ultimately proved to be the difference. The Pole continues her remarkable run and is now into her first Grand Slam last 16.

It has actually been a good clay court season for Chwalinska, after she won a Challenger event in Oeiras back in April. She will face either the sixth seed, Amanda Anisimova, or Diane Parry next.

11:01 CET - The day's play is about to get started, and you can follow all the action live with us!

Follow the men's matches here and the women's here.

09:00 CET - Good morning and welcome back to what is panning out to be an incredible Roland Garros, with big names tumbling out on the men's side of the draw, meaning we will have a first-time Grand Slam champion come next Sunday.

The action gets underway on Court Philippe-Chatrier at 12:00 CET, with Flavio Cobolli and Learner Tien clashing in what is a massive opportunity for both players on the half of the draw that is so wide open.

That is followed by sixth seed Amanda Anisimova facing home favourite Diane Parry, before defending champion Coco Gauff has a really tricky third-round clash with the in-form Anastasia Potapova.

The night session sees the highest remaining seed in this half, Felix Auger-Aliassime, go head-to-head with Brandon Nakashima. The fourth seed won't have a better chance to reach a Grand Slam final than here at the French Open.

Meanwhile, play starts an hour earlier on Court Suzanne-Lenglen, with a fantastic match to get proceedings started, as four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka faces 18-year-old starlet Iva Jovic for the very first time.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka then continues her quest for a maiden French Open title against Daria Kasatkina, before the 17-year-old French sensation Moise Kouame will look to thrill the home crowd once again against Alejandro Tabilo.

Finally, Frances Tiafoe takes on Portuguese qualifier Jaime Faria. Another massive opportunity for both players - a key theme of the men's tournament.

Other players taking to the outside courts include Jannik Sinner's conqueror, Juan Manuel Cerundolo, his brother, Francisco Cerundolo, Matteo Berrettini, Maria Sakkari, Anna Kalinskaya, Diana Shnaider, Matteo Arnaldi, while another teen marvel, Victoria Mboko, faces off against former Australian Open champion Madison Keys
