Flashscore sources: Man Utd rate Tonali at £70m as AC Milan also weigh up move
<p>Manchester United are a leading club in terms of interest in the Newcastle United midfielder, while Manchester City and Arsenal have also been linked.</p><p><strong>Flashscore sources have long viewed a move back to Italy as the most likely outcome for Tonali, with AC Milan and Juventus among his admirers.</strong></p><p>Milan are still to appoint both a sporting director and a new head coach, though, which is problematic in terms of moving quickly with a deal.</p><p>Juve have a lengthy list of transfer priorities, and while Tonali is listed, nothing has yet progressed.</p><p>It means the Italy international may yet have offers from other clubs in England to consider this summer, but it remains dependent on his price tag.</p><p>Newcastle are aware that Tonali is keen on a new challenge, but prefer the option that he plays outside of English football, rather than join a domestic rival.</p><p>As such, negotiations with English clubs would not be straightforward.</p><p>Man Utd have Tonali shortlisted in a summer when they are likely to make three signings in the midfield.</p><p><strong>At this stage, it is believed they would be looking to pay no more than £70 million for a deal to take him to Old Trafford.</strong></p><p>The problem is that Newcastle continue to rate the player closer to £100 million, and if they do not show signs of budging, then Man Utd would not pursue the deal.</p><p>At this stage, we understand it is still worth waiting for Milan to emerge as a credible landing spot.</p><p>There remains a belief they can bring a deal to life, and Tonali is willing to wait through the early stages of the transfer window for signs of a deal accelerating.</p>
